How Covid-19 birthday parties look...

We form a car line and wait for the fire trucks...masks on face.  Then, when the fire trucks signal it is time to start, we have a car parade where the birthday girl stands outside her house with her family and we all wave as we pass.  We held signs that wished Deveshi a happy birthday.  We also decided to raise it up a notch by blasting an upbeat version of happy birthday from our car speakers.  When we turned around to pass again, we threw a gift out the window...I am laughing as I am typing this last sentence, though not a laughing matter....ahhh what a crazy world it has become. After Spring break, we are now a little more organized with Livia's school work and utilizing her chalkboard/white board easel and paper rolls. 😁

Sunday, April 12th

With everything going on, we tried to keep the normalcy with Easter.  Thank goodness the Easter bunny was able to visit (Livia was sure that he would wash his hands if he were to touch anything).  She was also surprised that the Easter bunny hid the eggs this year.  The girls got all dressed up with no where to go...we are still in quarantine for an undetermined amount of time.  The girls really didn't think much of it except that they didn't get to see Gram or go to church.  I snapped pictures ALL DAY.  Here are the pics from Easter...

This year, Livia wanted the mint basket (she has always had the pink basket).  So, she left a little note letting the Easter bunny know.

The Easter bunny hid some eggs outside for the girls...they really enjoyed finding the hidden eggs.  I think next year, we should tell the Easrer bunny to put slime in their eggs...they would LOVE slime! Maybe even a puzzle they could put together when they were finished with the egg hunt.
